The History of American Food

As we have all learned through several years of history classes in school, we know that America had a lot of history to it.  There is one thing that we all love dearly that we do not see in our history textbooks and that is FOOD — and rightfully so or else we would all be starving in class.  America has accumulated several different types of cuisines from all over the world because of cultural influences with immigration, financial difficulties during the Great Depression, and political rules against alcohol.  New products and special ingredients were also introduced to Americans between 1900 and 1999, and of course this still continues to happen in 2014.
