It’s Poll Time!
You may be reading this just around lunch or dinner time and you may be a little hungry as well. Here is a poll for all of you who cannot make up your mind.
SloCo Pasty Company
This little restaurant in downtown SLO adds a new twist to the SLO food scene. SloCo Pasty Company serves the English dish, pasties, which are little pies that are stuffed with different types of meat, vegetables, and potatoes. They also come with a side of either gorgonzola cheese sauce or a red wine gravy. And once you are done with your dinner pasty, you can order a dessert pasty to split between you and your friends.
High Street Deli
This is the perfect lunchtime meal as you can create your own sandwich from a large assortment of breads, cheeses, meats, and vegetables. Or you can choose from their menu which has a long list of sandwiches to choose from. What is very special about this deli is that if you go in any time between 4:20 p.m. and 5:30 p.m., you can get your sandwich for as low as $4.20!
When you have a long break in between classes and do not have enough time to go home, you can take a short walk down California to Tiki Hut, a small shop that serves rice and pasta bowls. You just choose a base, pick your meat and sauce, and add as many vegetables as you want.
Mo’s Smokehouse BBQ
Now I know what you’re thinking. Why go here when Firestone is practically right across the street? Sometimes you need some variety, and that is just what Mo’s has. They have tacos, tri-tip, a large assortment of burgers, and more. Additionally, it’s always good to try something new so you do not get tired of every other restaurant in SLO. You never know what you will find.
So, what will you have to eat today?
